One of the best practices for being visible online is to keep your brand consistent across all forms of media.
As the last post says, “Your website is an asset” and you should be looking after it. But so too is your brand. It speaks to your audience and therefore is probably your most important asset.
Your brand defines you. From your logo, the colours you choose, the images you use, and the content you deliver to the way you answer the phone, it’s all part of your brand.
Also in this equation are your website and your social media platforms. Are they all saying the same thing? Is there consistency? Let me ask you this, if I clicked on your website and then went to your Facebook page would I recognise that I was looking at the same business?
So here’s what you can do.
1. Take an audit of all your online presence. See if the covers are the same. Is the profile image the same? Then look at the content and what you’re posting. Have you got your logo on the post images? You want to make sure that you brand everything because if someone shares a post, your logo goes along for the ride.
2. Use a graphics platform such as Canva.com (there is a free version) and create some templates. People will get used to seeing your brand and instantly recognise it through your colours, logo and design style. You can look at how I brand my social media posts: LinkedIn not to mention the image at the top of this post. It is the same template I use for all my posts; I simply change the photo.
Everything I do with my business of White Rockit Media is consistent with my brand, the website and social media with the same logo, designs, colours and fonts. It’s easy to do once you’ve spent time getting the templates ready.
If you need assistance with designing brand templates to use on social media please do not hesitate to contact me, I offer a package of ten made for you branded template designs (plus a wee video to show you how to use them) for you to have to make social media posts easier.
Remember to keep your brand consistent.
